TransportationMany individuals need at least some assistance getting their transportation needs met. Springwell subsidizes transportation to medical appointments. In addition, our Medical Escort program offers one-on-one assistance to elders who need someone to accompany them to their appointment. The most common types of available assistance are transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, to the senior center, and to a community lunch site. Transportation resources vary greatly from community to community. Sometimes elders have unique needs that require other types of transportation assistance than those listed. Please contact our Information and Resource Department at Springwell at (617) 926-4100 or inforef@springwell.com if your transportation needs can not be met with the resources listed here.
