Making a Report of Abuse by Phone

Abuse may be reported 24 hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week by calling the state-wide Elder Abuse toll-free HOTLINE:

1-800-922-2275

(Urgent and non-urgent calls accepted).

The HOTLINE is trained to contact Springwell Protective Service staff on urgent calls that need immediate attention either before the end of the business day and/or during non-business hours.

Making a Non-Urgent Report of Abuse Online

NON-URGENT reports of abuse may be made by using the Elder Abuse Hotline’s secure online form. (The online form is for NON-URGENT REPORTS ONLY. The system is only monitored once per hour during business hours, and only twice per day on weekends and holidays. Urgent reports can be made by phone 24 hours a day – see above).

If you are a Mandated Reporter you are required to completed a Mandated Reporter Form and send it to Springwell within 48 hours for verbal reports only. The Mandated Reporter Form is not necessary for reports made through the online reporting system.
