Friendly Visitors

When you can’t get out as much as you would like….

When you would like to have a visit, take a stroll, or share your memories…

When you want to organize your photos or play cards….

…our FRIENDLY VISITORS would like to join you.

FRIENDLY VISITORS FROM SPRINGWELL CAN:

Visit you weekly or every other week for one or two hours.
Share your interests in a hobby.
Go for a walk with you.
Fix you a light snack.
Run a brief errand.
Read to you or help you write letters.

BECAUSE THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS, our Friendly Visitors do not help you bathe, manage your money, or give you pills. They will get emergency assistance for you if the need arises.

ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our Friendly Visitors are carefully screened, trained, and matched with an elder living in the community.

They come from all walks of life and include professionals, retirees, students, and newcomers who want to make a deeper connection with their community.

Friendly Visitors are available without charge.

Friendly Visitors do not accept payments or tips. Those interested in supporting our volunteer programs can made a donation to Springwell.
